The Terrible Sin
Recently our church had a Sunday where we had "children's church" in the main sanctuary with the older folk. We had to sit "boys" on one side and "girls" on the other. There was much motion to boisterous and joyful singing. We had a competition in money giving to a crude scale that looked like a bear with his arms out and bucket hanging on each hand. This was money by weight and the "girls" won by virtue of their overladen purses. Later the children's pastor was talking about sin and the terrible nature of it. He asked the children for examples of sin. Several children spoke and mentioned lying, murder etc. when a little voice from the "girls" side spoke up and said "jumping on the bed". Everyone erupted in laughter. The whole place was touched by this sweet innocence.
